Manifesto
Life doesn’t come with an instruction book.
It does come with tests. Lots of them.
And, the tests aren’t the same for everyone.
Some get straight A’s from conception till they leave the planet.
Others, are destined for failure, by no fault of their own.
And once they fail one test, the path to success gets harder at every turn.
Restarting the scoreboard, a clean slate, new dreams, passions and goals might be the hardest test of all.
That’s where A Clean Dream steps in.
Clean is an ideal state. Free from dirt, morally uncontaminated, pure, innocent, a fresh start as in; a clean slate.
Dreams are a series of involuntary thoughts, images and sensations in a state of unconsciousness and they are also intentional aspirations, ambitions, a vision of an ideal state. They can run the gamut, from nightmares to a vision of the future.
When we talk about A Clean Dream it’s not just about a message of hope, it’s a plan of action.
To take youth from being wards of the state, to becoming contributing members of society.
Changing the future of the less fortunate, builds our communities fortune, by growing our social capital and maximizing our collective potential.
A clean dream may not be a perfect life’s little instruction book, but it should be enough preparation to pass future tests by those we may have written off.
Success in life starts with goals and small successes. Where you go with your dreams should only be limited by your own vision.
We want to start the less fortunate with A Clean Dream.

Our Mission
Our mission is to reintegrate former prisoners, homeless youth and arriving immigrants into the community by reducing prison recidivism and improve public safety by identifying basic needs such as employment, housing and transportation to create a continuum of care that can address barriers to those reentering or entering society.
Our History
A Clean Dream was formed in 2021. Founder Kaye Taylor was mentoring previously incarcerated individuals who had returned to the community and found themselves displaced and frustrated. Ms. Taylor and her daughter Tehairra introduced these men and women to a disciplined life of focus and self-governance by offering employment, housing and transportation. As a result of introducing these men and women to spiritual principles and a way to resolve their issues, A Clean Dream was formed. Many of the people who are looking for a clean dream experience personal growth, family reunification, job retention, entrepreneurship, and getting involved in community and criminal justice reform.
The fundamental premise of restorative practices is that people are happier, more cooperative and productive, and more likely to make positive changes when those in positions of authority do things with them, rather than to them or for them. ACD has partnered with Gem City Commercial & Residential Cleaning Services to offer employment and training to those who become employees, Jeff Schmitt Auto Group for transportation and a variety of Real Estate agencies to locate affordable housing.
Our Vision
Our vision is to reinvest in safe and healthy communities by creating more livable wages, permanent and sustainable housing and economic self-sufficiency for former prisoners, homeless youth and arriving immigrants.
Our value statement
We believe in the empowerment of second chances. So that former prisoners, homeless youth and arriving immigrants will have the control over their own futures.
We support the full re-entry of former prisoners, homeless youth and arriving immigrants into the civic, economic, and family structures upon their release or arrival.
We believe in the power of networking among former prisoners, homeless youth and arriving immigrants to ensure successful reentry or arrival.
We believe that it is imperative to support organizations led by former prisoners, homeless youth and arriving immigrants and to elevate their leadership.
We believe in prevention, alternatives to prison (reducing crime and recidivism)
We believe in redemption, second chances (forgiveness, love and new life)
We believe that impacted citizens should have an equal and valued voice at policy making tables.
